Those in high hierarchy don't have lead position due to business with other matters (i.e. Balthier will not be lead healer as long as he is alpha- he will still be a healer, but it can't be his primary role to focus on). In the case of beta and delta, they can have lead positions, but will have a second (if applicable) to fill in for the lead if the alpha is unavailable and the beta/delta has to step in. Thus, their names may repeat in a particular role.
