Cinder

Cinder felt his nudge and she sighed a soft butterfly sigh, she hadn't wanted to go get the rabbit really but she had brought it as a gift for Link. He wanted her to lead the way, she could tell by his motions. She smiled at him and brushed her coat against his as she exited the den. Silver orbs scanned the dens. Legend was gone, thank goodness. Although she had a feeling he wasn't far. She still didn't understand why the dark bru would pick her just like that. She never had thought of being with anyone other than Link and if she couldn't be with him then she thought she would be alone. She turned and paused looking back at Link, he was so good to her. But was it only to be friends? Her eyes shone with feeling as she looked upon his bod but then she quickly looked away hoping he hadn't seen or really wishing he had.

She padded over to where they had been. The hare still lay there lifeless and she caught no sight of Zelda, Legend, or Eirwyn. And then her silver gaze came to Exodus. She needed to speak with her privately....soon. Before she left anyway. Looking down at the hare she nudged it toward Link. "Here you go. It's not much but I thought you might like it." Her gaze came up and she smiled shyly, before sitting and curling her tail around her toes. Impulse was telling her to go to Link and touch him, rubbing her body across his but she denied it as she was so unsure. What could he do? Tell her No? Cinder thought to herself. But she knew deep down that the little word would crush her heart. Better to let sleeping wolves lie.

One who withholds wisdom...

Zelda coming, need some muse for her at the moment.

"The
flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each
person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with
time is a memory of younger days..."
-Sheik
Watching her closely as she spoke of Legend he could not help feel rankled when she spoke of how a shock it was to learn of it..but at the same moment she averted her gaze from him. Was she lying? Did she really know of it? What if she was trying to not hurt his feelings? Link fixed his gaze on something in the distance and listened to the comforting lyrics of Cinder. At her sudden exclamation he looked back at her, this time his intensity was gone replaced by cool amusement.

Nudging her lightly with his nose he extracted himself and rose to his paws. Motioning for her to lead the way he waited. While he was not particularly hungry he thought that she could use some meat on her bones and intended to give her most of it.

It seemed that Zelda was having as many problems with speaking as she herself was, and instead of putting her more at ease, it only served to distress her further. She did not like that she had upset the other fea, but it couldn't be avoided. When she did finally speak, though, Eirwyn truly did listen, and tried to hear the words with an unbiased ear. The problem was, this was not why she was upset. Zelda had no idea... no one did.

Hearing the older fem's voice break, Eirwyn's silver eyes flashed with her own anguish. When she had finally finished, Eirwyn opened her maw, the words finally coming to her.

"Please, Zelda, don't be rediculous! If you think that this is my wish, then you are seriously mistaken." She sighed, some of her anger disappating. She was glad of this offer, though, for it showed her that Zelda really and truly trusted these Jabbar wolves. Prejudiced and angry she was, but Wyn was not a heartless wolf. "It was unfair of me to blame Evon's treachery on you, Zelda. I may not have trusted her, but neither did I make a move against her. It is as much my folly as it is the rest of the pack."... if not more, she added silently. She had known. Why hadn't she spoken that time!

She looked off in the distance now, unable to look at Zelda fully, with what she was about to say. "That is not the reason, though, for this. That is not why it hurts me so to see Legend and Exodus here." She paused, unsure of how to proceed. Zelda needed to know, to truly understand her. "It is not in me to forgive. Song, she was good at such things, and how I envy her for it even still. Some would say that she lost even more than me. She was an alphaess once. My Alphaess." Eirwyn's eyes were distant, as though she were seeing the past once more. "I was her Beta, along with my love, Weston. He and Kestrel, the Alpha and Songbreeze's mate, were close friends." She smiled. "They had known each other even longer than they had known I and Song. We met, and a pack was born. For a time, at least, we were happy."

Her eyes darkened. "I was off hunting with Song when it happened, which is why, perhaps, we were saved. It was a neighboring pack, one who resented our intrusion into lands they saw as theirs. Power and greed are strong motivations, as I am sure you know." Tears leapt into her eyes, and her voice broke, as she turned to look at Zelda. "Weston and Kestrel did not have a chance. There were too many of them. By the time we got back, there was nothing left. Losing Weston was unbearable... but my pups....." Tears rolled down her cheeks, mingling with the dirt.

"I had born three beautiful sons just two weeks before, and was merely taking a break from the den when it happened. Innocent, never even seeing the world outside of the den, and they were taken in the blink of an eye, murdered in cold blood by their kind." She flicked her tail in the direction of the main lands, where Exodus and Legend were. "That is why, no matter what you say, I cannot trust them. Cannot accept them. Like I said, it is not my nature to forgive." She blinked away any tears that were left, sighing. "But I realize that it is not my decision to make whether or not they stay. I only hope, for all of our sakes, that you are right, and I am merely a hateful harlot. It would hardly be gratifying to me to be proven right."

Instead of walking away, which is what she yearned to do, Eirwyn fell silent and waited, not sure whether she wanted Zelda to respond. Never had she dreamed that her history would follow her here, but now it had, and she had to live with the consequences of her own misguided heart.

Cinder

She could feel the dissaproval coming off of his body in waves. She knew he didn't want her returning to Jabbar...especially not with Legend. And the thought made her uncomfortable too, more so since he professed his love for her. The last thing she had ever wanted to do was dissapoint Link and she was getting the feeling that she had. She watched as he motioned back to the others and growled and she nodded, understanding his unsaid words. "I don't like it either Link. I am uncomfortable traveling back with Legend but I cannot afford to offend Akiko, Link." Cinder looked at Legend with her silver eyes. "I hope you know I have no feelings for the bru. It was a shock to my ears as I heard it." She looked away, afraid her eyes would betray all the love she felt for Link in that moment. She sighed softly aware of the torment she was causing herself but too shy to come out and profess her love to Link. He knew how she felt...he had to know. But she was afraid of rejection and that is why her lips didn't move. Maybe when she had bettered herself...maybe then.

She felt his cuddle and snuggled right back. Sighing once more. The heat from his body felt luxurious and she closed her silver eyes. Oh to stay this way forever...she thought. Her eyes opened and she was glad this wasn't a dream. "Oh!" she said softly not moving "I brought you a rabbit but I guess I left it where we all met earlier. It should be there still if you want it." She looked at Link and smiled softly.

One who withholds wisdom...

Zelda stopped along side her, head was bowed in...what? Shame? Embarassment. Even she didn't know. "Eirwyn...I-" she stopped not knowing what to say next. Her chest still heaved trying to supply her body with the oxygen it needed. Reclining on her haunches she fixed her attention on a small branch at her feet. "Eirwyn...I can not allow what happened with Evon and Lacuna to forever cloud my judgement of those previously aligned in darkness. Jabbar has taking in Cinder for whatever task she has set out for and I can not afford to offend them. Especially right now when we are so...weak." Her voice broke with pain on the last word. She struggled to regain her composure. "I allowed Evon to stay and I allowed her to do this..to everyone. She hurt Link and you and everyone in these lands." Pausing she continued. "I know that you think I have betrayed you and I understand but I can not let this pack's purpose be corrupted by that bi.tch." She spoke the word with such loathing and venom few probably thought her capable. "Eirwyn...if anything happens from my actions today, then I shall leave FnI and never return. This I swear. And I swear to you that I will do everything in my power to prevent anything from happening. We will not be caught off guard again...ever." Rising to her pads she stepped back. "I understand if you are still upset." Then she turned and began to stalk away...

ooc-Eh...

"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."
-Sheik
His body flushed with warmth at her kiss and he set his eyes upon her as he began telling him her tale. Growling at the knowledge that Legend had really tried to kill her when she arrived. Again he growled at the thought of them being alone. His face showed his dicontentment and disapproval. He had been worried for the small femme that lay at her side. Now she was going back. Huffing he looked away in almost a pout, his eyes hard. Her voice softened and he could not help but letting out a sigh and touched her neck with his nose.

He liked the thought even less that Legend would be the one accompanying her back to Jabbar...alone. Growling again he motioned back to where he had left the others and frowned. Showing that he did not like the situation. Then when she stated how she missed him, his heart softened and he cuddled closer to her and again sighed. How many things he wished to tell her! He whined to convey just how very much he missed her too...

Fran watched the activity from afar, but made no movements. She was watching for everyone's reaction, especially the two fighting sibling, although more wary of Legend, for he appeared to be the one who was more aggressive and stained in darkness, or so she believed. With calm eyes, she noted that some didn't like Zelda's... welcome while others didn't mind.

When Cinder ran off, she had considered offering her silent company, but Link ran right after her. She smiled. She didn't hear what little Link had said, but it was obvious, at least, to her, what might have been said from Legend's confession.

Balthier had no interest what-so-ever in what was being said, as long as the newcomer... newcomers didn't fight with the pack members. He was out of sight, but he heard raised voices for the apparent siblings. That didn't concern him. Either it was a good act by both of them, or they were opposites. He guessed the latter. Of course, he didn't voice any of his thought to his brother, who was right next to him, anxious to know what was going on. Instead, he supplied, "Zelda's just sorting out all these newcomers. Nothing to worry about."

Cinder

His touch was so inviting, oh how she felt so safe here tucked into his coat. She took his invitation to lay with him and saw the questions in his eyes. She moved closer, dropped to the floor, and snuggled into his side. She knew he wanted answers...probably the most about Legend. She looked up and kissed his cheek softly. "Link, I do not know why Legend said what he said. When I was in Jabbar he tried to kill me. I avoided contact with him because I was afraid...I don't understand why he followed me from Jabbar. I had left alone. I don't know why......" She paused. "I had to stay so long in Jabbar to wait for Akiko...she was gone when I got there. Link, I have to return. I have business with Akiko that I have to finish. No harm will come to me, I promise. Not in Jabbar, but I need to do this Link. For myself..." She ended softly but wanted to add "and for you" but she held her tongue.

She pulled her silver gaze from Link's eyes. Would he understand? She rubbed her head on his neck again and whispered softly. "I missed you so much. I would not be going if this wasn't important Link." She looked up at his face trying to read his silent answer. He was so handsome. Could he ever love her truely? More than just good friends? She wasn't sure but she knew she loved him that way and it would have to do. She was enjoying the closeness and taking in his scent deeply. It made her flush slightly and she tucked her nose under his chin so he wouldn't see.

Eirwyn had slowed slightly when Exodus bumped into her, but she did not even turn. She did not want to, for she did not trust herself if she did. Nothing about this was okay. She hated the hatred that welled within her, but somehow she could not let it go. Somehow, she felt as though she was letting him down.... he, who had been so full of love, her complete opposite. He always called her his fire. Tears jumped into her eyes. Now the flames were threatening to consume her once more, to push away her new packmates, for though she had been there long, she still felt as though this was barely a home to her. It felt so... temporary, and she did not know how to change that.

"I'm sorry, Wes." It was more a breath than a true statement, but it mattered not. He couldn't hear her. Her legs carried her further, but a voice on the wind brought her back. Zelda. The fem was chasing her, and for a moment, Wyn contemplated running on, past the border, and not looking back. She couldn't do it, though. She couldn't abandon this place, not now. Probably not ever. No matter her prejudice, no matter how out of place she felt, this was her home now, and she had nowhere else to go.

Blinking away the tears that still glittered upon her ivory cheeks, she stopped, turning to face Zelda. Looking at her friend, she felt guilty, for the fea had had to follow her all the way out here. Suddenly she couldn't meet Zelda's eyes, and her own silver orbs threatened to overflow again. She felt a flash of anger flow through her veins at her weak behavior, but she couldn't help it.

"I'm...." She trailed off, unable to continue. Instead she stood there, ears back, waiting. Wondering what to expect. I can't do this, she thought, anguished. I can't stand by and watch meekly while murderers are accepted within our borders. Please, Zelda, please understand. Her voice remained mute, unable to give voice to her feelings, for she knew that she had no real justification.

One who withholds wisdom...

Zelda watched Legend go and her frown was still intact. Hues found the outraged Eirwyn and she watched the fem with desolate orbs. Had she done so wrong in the past that such hate existed in the pack? Exodus stalked away not wanting her prescence and Zelda felt...tired. Throwing a fleeting glance as the fem as she left she looked at Morgan. "Watch the pack." Then she high tailed it after Eirwyn. She needed to talk to her, Zelda could not take the anger from her. Eirwyn had been in the pack for so long that she was the closest thing to a best friend that Zelda had. Her thoughts turned amused at the thought of that. You really don't have many true friends do you Zelda? I suppose thats what happens...her thought didn't finish and she concentrated on running.

She could hear the padfalls of Eirwyn. If Link was strong than Zelda was fast and she used it to gain. "Please! Eirwyn..wait!" Her breath burned as it came out of her chest. Not as young as I used to be eh? she thought ruefully.

"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."

He took in her form as she came out of the den despite her invitation. Smiling, the heat and passion that was in his eyes previously had vanished. All that was left was a cool countenance on his facade. Though on the inside he could not feel a monster growling in triumph as she came and tucked herself agaist him. Tucking her closer her nuzzled her neck and made a contented rumbling noise that reverberated through his chest.

Nosing her muzzle so that he could meet her gaze he could see that she looked sad and he frowned at that. He tilted his head and invited her to lay with him as he sank to the earthen floor. Then he waited for her to tell her what happened giving her a quizzical look. How many questions he wished to ask! He knew though that he had to wait and bide his time. The speech he had recently spoken had not come easily and it was better not to push his luck.

Cinder

Cinder had curled herself in a ball and tucked her nose under her tail and listened. She was sure Zelda would be fair. She delved into her own thoughts for a moment and was still perplexed in Legend's confession. She didn't understand it. He had never shown affection toward her before...nor had she wanted it. She closed her eyes and another salty tear rolled down her nose. Ear's flicked forward as she heard Eirwyn and she groaned inwardly. "I should have never come here." she whispered to herself. "I should have lived alone for the rest of my days and not caused all the trouble that seems to follow my footsteps." She sighed, she knew she was in too deep to leave anywhere. This was her pack...her family. She would have to speak with Eirwyn before she left to go back to Jabbar. Eirwyn would probably think she was a traitor.

It was something she needed to do though. For herself....for her pack... whether they knew it or not. All she had wanted was to be an asset instead of a hindrence. She wanted to give them a reason to be proud and she wanted to be proud of herself too. She sighed agian and then her ears flicked forward at the sound of footsteps. She looked up when a familiar whine came to her ears and she smiled through her tears. It was Link. Her heart warmed and she opened her maw. "Oh Link, of course you can come in." Funny how she always seemed to know what he wanted from the tone of his whines and grunts or even a look. Her ashy plume wagged softly and she stood crawling half way out of the den to meet him. She rubbed her head on his chest and she took in his scent. No matter what, Link always made her feel better somehow. "Oh I have missed you so Link." she said softly"You have no idea how much." Her protector was here, her knight, her savior....she felt whole once more and at the same time felt horrid for having the need to leave soon. Would Link understand or would he think she was leaving to Jabbar for good?

At first, when Zelda had spoken, Eirwyn felt the rush of agreement fill her. Obviously she was seeing reason, preparing to cast them out and have nothing to do with these dark hearts. Then the argument started, and Eirwyn's eyes narrowed. She had always liked Cinder, and the fact that this bru had tried to murder her packmate made her hackles rise even further. Her muscles twitched, and she had to hold herself back. The tension was crawling across her pelt, making her extremely antsy and uncomfortable. What was Zelda waiting for?

Expecting the temporary Alphaess to step in, she was shocked when Cinder instead took a stand. The fem had obviously changed. Then she spoke of protecting these two and instantly Eirwyn took a step back. Had Cinder's time in Jabbar corrupted her? Didn't she know the pain that these wolves were capable of spreading? Those who chose to walk down that path did not change. Only a fool thought that they did. If Cinder thought that this Legend wolf loved her, then she was mistaken.

Hoping to hear a voice of reason from Zelda, she was disappointed. Feeling as though she had been slapped in the face, she listened as Zelda took back her words against Exodus, and even agreed to let Legend reside here! Eyes burning with pain and anger, she turned to Zelda. It seemed that Link agreed, but his reasons too were clouded. Was she the only one in this pack who could see what this might cause? Ties with Jabbar would only bring more death and destruction to their lands.

"You are letting them stay?!" She couldn't believe it. "Never before have I questioned your wisdom, Zelda, except when it comes to you trusting those not of our kind. No." She shook her head. She did not know how much more of this openness she could take. First Evon, now Legend and Exodus. How many times would it take before they would learn?

"I can't..." she turned, running like the wind in the opposite direction from Link and Cinder.

The drake had moved back after Exodus was in Zelda's good graces. However, he
remained in the vicinity, pacing, stalking. Cinder had returned, and immediately he
was back to spectate. Everything seemed to be alright until Legend's stench hit
his nares. A growl rose in his throat. Soon the fighting ensued. This reminded him
so much of the fight between him and Vega. His throat began to tingle as the
memory flooded back to him. Behind his closed lids he could see his own blood on
the ground, feel the teeth... he shook himself out of it. As soon as Morgan
opened his eyes, the unthinkable happened. He perked his auds forward, mouth
agape at Link.
"He speaks..." It swelled him full of pride to see a member of his
pack show such valiance and dedication. And for good reason. This overgrown
pup did not even deserve to stand behind Cinder, let alone defend her.

One who withholds wisdom...

Zelda felt her fur bristle almost violently as the two siblings exchanged cruel words. She felt her lips quivering on the edge of a snarl. Watching Exodus she could see the sincerity in her hues and hear the tone of truth ring out in her voice. With Legend's words struck out at his sister she felt protective anger rise over her. While she was outraged initially at Legend's arrival she had already accepted Exodus under her wing. Legends strange proclamation of love to Cinder made her orbs narrow even further. Had she not just learned that this brute had tried to kill her? Information was swarming in her auds and she could barely contain one thought trail to another. There was so much work, so much stress and it was all becoming too much. Now this...

Thoughts cleared as Cinder snapped to attention. She held the fems gaze with her own as she straightened matters out for her and she could not help but feel thankful for the clarification. There was also some amusement to be seen at the small fem snapping out words. Watching her deal with Legends proclamation she felt her jaw clench for a moment. Zelda loved Cinder but if she spurned her brother for all the care he had given her than the fae might find truly what a cold heart she could have. Though it seemed unnecessary for she dismissed the brujo's words. When all was finished she watched Cinder go without interruption.

Through this whole venture she gained some composure that was lost over the last few days. Stepping and placing herself firmly between Exodus and Legend she gave the brute a hard look before turning a softer gaze on his sister. "I must beg your pardon Exodus. All had not been well within me as of late and my mind had been distorted with stress. You need not leave this land for protecting Cinder alone you would be an honored guest. I would not usually judge one so quickly." She spoke in a soothing low murmur. Still standing protectively in front of her she looked at Legend once more. "As for you bru, I do not need you to come into my land and causing trouble. You claim you do not come to bring harm and you have already brought thus with your careless words. As for Cinder's well being you are free from seeing to it while she is in the pack lands. I would suggest that keep a distance." She spoke the last words rather pointedly now remembering her brother. Glancing over at him....

"Link, do not be foolish!
"

"/ The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days...\"
-Sheik
Eyes narrowed at the protective stance Legend had taken over Cinder. Was he trying to protect her from her pack? He felt a twinge of annoyance. While he did not quite dig into the feud between the two he saw that Exodus was true in her words. She was not made to live in tainted blood. If Zelda cast her aside than he would go against her, but he saw a resolution alight in his sisters blue hues and knew he needed not to fear. Auds snapped to attention as Legend spoke about Cinder. Link felt a harsh taste of metallic on his tongue and his body seemed to pulsate under every nerve. The axis of his mind began to rock under the tremendous emotion that surged through his body. Hues were locked upon this brute with a fierce and before unknown vicious glare. Though no one seemed to notice the silent warrior of late and even Zelda was focused elsewhere.

Talons sunk into the soil. The mere fact that he proclaimed thus and Cinder was closer to the brat made him want to go between them and...and what? Never before had he felt such possessiveness. It frightened him but what frightened him more was the response that Cinder would have to this remark. Had she found something in this young foolish pup? The thought made bile rise in his stomach.

Link watched her with an intense regard but she seemed bewildered as he but he still felt no relief for such a statement for she answered no real question. He barely listened to Zelda as she spoke to Exodus and Legend.

Once she was out of the way he stepped forward, seemingly not of his own control he stood, very close in front of Legend. Link was his senior by many years and his teeth bared themselves for the young wolf. He did not hear his sister's words. A snarl rippled through his chest. Leaning every closer he opened his maw...

"She...is....mine...."

His voice, it was cracked and marred and spoke barely above a whisper but there was no way to cover the menace in his tone. Without anything further he turned and stalked after Cinder. The warrior never so riled in this manner before...

Easily tracking her to the den that was close by he halted at the entrance and whined softly. Only with her permission would he enter.

Zelda looked after her brother, her mouth gaping slightly. He spoke...she could not tell what to feel. Joy? Anger? He had been stupid in riling himself over Legend but how long could he talk? Why did he not tell her? Then she recalled the obvious strain that it had taken for him to say even so little. Looking at Legend with a somber expression once more. "Do not test him, especially when you are in these lands." Looking at Exodus she nudged the fems shoulder lightly. "Come, you are in need of some water and food." Looking at Eirwyn she asked gently. "Eirwyn, if you please, could you find something for Exodus to eat." With that she began to walk to a nearby stream, waiting for the young fae to follow.

Cinder

Cinder saw Link and her tail wagged, she was so happy to see him doing well. She nuzzled him back and then stopped feeling the tension in the air. You could bite it like it was something solid and full of blood. She looked to Link for a moment and then back at Legend, then venom flew. Legend's voice frightened her, he sounded like when he tried to kill her. Her silver eyes grew wide and then she listened to the verbal battle between brother and sister.

It all went so quickly, the hate filled words, Exodus showing Zelda her scar...the scar that saved Cinder's life, and then came something unexpected. Legend said he loved her. Her breath stopped and her heart pounded in her chest and she couldn't pull her eyes away from the small smile he gave her. How could he love me? she thought. Her stomach churned and she felt dazed. She fought against a tremble and closed her silver eyes for a second as Exodus and Legend's words went on. So still she sat as the words sunk in. He loved her....impossible...how could he love me? She stepped away from Link and turned so she was facing the group. She hated this. Why did she always seem to bring so much hate and sorrow everywhere she went? Her ashen hackles raised in anger and her silver jewels were lit with fire. "STOP!" she yelled her voice loud and controlled. "STOP THIS NOW!!!"

Cinder stepped forward a pace and then backed up. She wanted to cry and tremble and run away like the old Cinder would have, but that wolf was dead now. She looked to Zelda and said firmly. "Exodus saved my life. I owe her mine. If she wishes to stay then please Zelda, let her. I gave Legend my word that he would be tolerated here. He did try to kill me but now seems to...."Cinder closed her eyes and paused for a moment before reopening them and continuing the words, in her ears, sounding like some kind of sick lie. "....seems to have had a change of heart. I still have business in Jabbar and I will be returning there for a short stint. No, I will not change my mind about it. I will be safe on Damean and Akiko's word." She took a deep breath and looked at the siblings specifically her silver eyes hard like coins. She focused on Exodus and her eyes softened a bit. "Exodus I will tell Jaded and Petra your words and when I return I am sure I will have a message for you. Like I said before I owe you my life and you showed me kindess where others did not" Then she looked at Legend her eyes were confused and full of questions. "I do not know what to say to you right now Legend. I do not understand how you could want to kill me one moment and then say you lo...love me the next?" She had stumbled over the word love. She didn't understand how a handsome young brute who was or could have been the heir to a dark kingdom would find herself attractive. She was weak and even though she had dark lines she was a pure wolf. HOW? Her mind was calling him a liar. The thought made her want to tremble..she wasn't worthy of anyones love right now. She glanced to Link hurt in her eyes. He doesn't even love me like that, not truely. She thought. More like a love like him a Zelda share. But she would take it for she loved Link.

Looking away from Link, she turned back to the siblings and spoke in a hard voice. "If Zelda decides to allow you two to stay you both will promise me not to speak to one another like that again. You are brother and sister and you used to be close...I know that much from seeing the look on Jaded's face when you fought. If I had ever had that growing up I would have treasured it! TREASURED IT! So Exodus if you truely wish to stay and Legend if you say you l..love me you will NOT FIGHT while you reside here. And if you do I will kick you both out myself!" She turned quickly and flicked her tail.

Big words for such a little wolf, she thought to herself. She padded away leaving them all at one end of the densite. Quickly she found the den that she and Link had come to share and went inside. Tiny tears had formed at the corners of her eyes and she felt them as they rolled down her nose. She felt that Legend had just told her the biggest lie just to hurt her. How could he love me? How can anyone love me that way? I am nothing...I am the omega...the shamed. She had thought she left old Cinder far behind but it was seeming that the dead were begining to walk agian and she felt insecure once more. She sighed and pricked her ears to listen for Zelda's deciding word and hoping Link would behave himself.

She was watching Zelda calculate everything she had told her only moments before. She was waiting on a reply when she saw the movement of a familiar bodice out of the corner of her eye. Her head stayed perfectly still, waiting for some reaction from someone and she closed her eyes and brought her head back when Zelda growled. 'So much for trust' she thought and she turned herself as Legend glared at her.

--

Legend only nodded a little as Cinder spoke of her 'family' here and spoke softly. "Of course. I know this. I'm just here to get you back to 'my' home safely Cinder. So when you come back, if I'm not there to accompany you back to your home, you'll be able to defend yourself a little better" He smiked and lifted a paw, brushing her shoulder softly as a little joke then nipped at her playfully wagging his tail. "Come on, you lead" and like that, they were walking forward. His first mistake was looking at his sister as if they were knowing of eachother being there, his second mistake was then glaring at her realising they weren't at home and stepping infront of Cinder slighty, as if protecting her naturally while glaring at Exodus. "What...are you doing here Exodus?" The tone of a monster...
--

Exodus watched Legend with persecution in her eyes. He knew why she was here, he was the one that drove her here. She let her head drop and a sigh escaped her maw. "And yet the other side of me, and the horrible side of my father now walks your lands too" her words were broken and she looked up, remorse was splashed across her face. She hated being related to him. "I don't know what's going on. And frankly, the only thing I care about is to leave to not cause any problems. I know how this all looks and snapping at me wont show it any better" she sighed and looked down again, dropping her gaze in shame.

Legend looked at her with aggitation in his eyes. "You're pathetic you know that. You were when we were whelps and you are now" his voice was a stern and hard, while his eyes were showing the exact same thing. Exodus snapped her eyes at him and they held a new life. They were alight with a raging fire and she let a growl grow from the bottom of her stomach up to her throat, it ripped out into the air with a lash of words only to be followed by a sigh and her legs comming up under to to a sitting. "Legend you p.ric.k! How dare you call me pathetic! I HATE YOU!. Zelda. I don't have any meaning for you. I don't know why he's here, let alone with Cinder. He already tried to kill her once, and if he had succeeded I wouldn't be standing here right now asking for a second chance to have a better life! Do you see this" Exodus showed the scar "He ripped me apart to try and kill her, and why he's here with her walking as if he's a love sick puppy, oh yes Legend, I can see it in your eyes, you had that same look when Lacuna was in our lands, and you have that same look now! Zelda, he is the one I would be asking what's going on. I've only come here looking for a home, seeing how I'm banned from Jabbar, and not like it would matter, the darkness is to tough for me, I'm not that...rude!" Her legs came out and she sat down breathing heavily.

Legend glared at his sister even more so harder then before. "She's right. I tried to kill Cinder when she came to our lands, I was angry. And she is right, she's banned from ever stepping another paw on my lands. She betrayed us all by stating she wanted to leave, and she's betraying us now by being here. But why should it matter, she's no longer one of us. I wouldn't dare out any trust in her, she'll just leave your pack too." He looked at Cinder then back to Exodus. "And as for why I'm with it, it's because I came to protect her, seeing how she's asked Akiko for help with her own personal matters. And Akiko has gladly accepted and will provide her with any help she can give. So Exodus the next time you open your trap you better have a good reason as to why you're bringing up the past when it's done and over with" His voice fell silent and he looked at Zelda.

"I bring no harm. And I bring no means to stay long. I've come with Cinder, and I'll leave with Cinder. I'm here to make sure she's protected on her journey to and from our lands and yours. I'm neutral here and dark there. If you want. I'll step outside the boundary until she's ready to go. But I wont leave completely. Besides. When you want to prove your love to someone you can't stray far" His eyes then flashed to Cinder and he gave her a small smile. Better way to tell her would have been alone, but his lovely sister would ruin everything if she got the chance.

There was a snort and Legend looked over at Exodus. She looked exhausted all of the sudden, as if her little riot and sent her over the edge. Her eyes looked as if she were going to pass out at any moment. Her head hung below his shoulders and she bent her legs as she sat there with an arched back. She looked sick and Legend's heart suddenly left with a slight fear of her dying. What was wrong with him, he hated her for what she had done and she had gotten what she asked for when she attacked him. He was in a rage and she had tried to stop him. His eyes went to her scar and guilt flooded his blood. Oh, he was dark indeed.

Exodus sat there breathing for a bit before she slowly stood, shaking only so slightly. "Cinder. I'm glad you fair well and the packs treated you well. Tell Petra I miss her terribly. She was like a mother to me, along with Jaded, she taught me the ways of healing when I was a mere whelp. While Akiko taught Legend how to be a monster. And tell Jaded I love her please." She blinked slowly and nodded. "Zelda. Thank You for your time, and I hope that I hadn't wasted it to much with all I've said. If that information doesn't help I'm sure you'll fare just fine" Exodus felt like she was going to throw up but she stood there, confused on what to do at the moment...

One who withholds wisdom...

Watching Exodus with calculating orbs her fur only bristled slightly at the news that Damean and Akira had bred. She had not heard of the white witch ever having a desire to breed. Until that despicable young hessian Razor disappeared she thought he would take the throne. Taking the information she nodded listened but not interupting. Finally when she was done she did not comment but her mind worked over the news furiously. How this affected their pack, if they could use this against their enemies. Not that she was going to battle over things like this. She only desired to live in peace.

Opening her muzzle to address the request of a tour her glance swiveled over to where a figure entered. Cinder! Mouth spread open to a smile and stepped forward to greet her but she froze. A brujo came with her and he smelled of Jabbar..of Jabbar and Damean and even a little of Exodus. Legend. Turning she snarled at Exodus and showed her fangs to Legend. "Cinder come here." she spat out, not at the fem but she did not want Cinder next to this bru. Looking at Exodus she growled. "What is the meaning of this?" Had she come here merely to lie? Why? Eyes narrowed in suspicion at the two siblings. Ears flicked back at the arrival of Eirwyn happy that the fem was at her back. She had been so aloof as of late but Zelda knew it was not of a bad reason.

"/ The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days...\"
-Sheik
Link of course was not to far away and the snarls of his sister roused him faster than anything else in the world. Paws flashing the older warrior was at his sisters side in a mere moment talons raking the soils. His sharp eyes scanned for a threat and he saw that her eyes lingered on Legend and this is too where he would of held his attention if it were not for Cinder...

His hues locked onto her and a relief washed over him. He whined, a broken sound, coming from his throat. Touching his sister on her shoulder with his nose he told her with that action to be still. Zelda took a breath and relaxed some as she watched Legend and awaited Exodus's words.

A smile broke across his muzzle despite the tense situation and he stepped forward to briefly rub his mug on her face. Eyes till warily looking at Legend. They were not claimed mates..not quite but Link thought that it would not be long.
The other who withholds courage...

eirwyn-1.jpg picture by megan_starr9

Eirwyn padded lightly on, her nares flared for any trace of prey. The ivory fem had been hanging back in the pack, letting the usual life flow by her unhindered. It wasn't that she was upset; actually, the opposite. For the first time in a long while, she was at peace. Lately, however, solitude had suited her better. It was about time taht she got back to her pack, however. First, though, she would eat. Twitching an ear, she located a slight scratching noise. Lowering herself, she stalked forward, almost like a feline, keeping quiet.

The pheasant did not know what hit it. Satisfied, Eirwyn tucked in, finished the bird quickly and brushing feathers from her muzzle. Licking her lips, she shook out her fur, then continued on, cleaning off her muzzle until it reached it's usual pristine whiteness.

Suddenly, she paused, rigid. Slowly she turned, the fur along her spine rising as a snarl built up within her throat. Jabbar. The scent was faint, but there. Not in her homeland. Her prejudice against dark wolves had definitally not faded within the past few months, no matter how her sister had tried to temper it. She couldn't forget the life that their kind had taken from her, no matter how much others coached forgiveness.

Sprinting across the territory, she slowed only when she caught sight of a gathering of wolves. She slowed to a walk when she read the atmosphere, the lack of tension only somewhat comforting. What was going on here? Why was nothing happening? Eyes still militant, she took in Legend and Exodus. Slowly her lip curled up, revealing the ivory canines beneath. She knew how far trust went here. She had been the only one to question Evon, and look where that had led their pack. She hoped that Zelda would not make the same mistake again. Glancing at Zelda, she waited, wondering where this was going to go. She remained tense. There was no way she was dropping her guard now.

Cinder

Cinder was still perplexed, unsure. His smile was pleasant yet disturbing for she didn't know the reason behind it. When he stepped closer she again felt uncomfortable. It was hard to reason why this wolf who wanted to take her life at one point was acting such the opposite. Then when he told her to lead the way she turned to begin and paused. Her breath caught. DID HE JUST CALL HER LOVE? Her eyes looked to the ground and then glanced back at him only to fall to the ground again. She swallowed and opened her maw to answer slightly. "They shouldn't mind you here Legend...." she paused "I will vouch for your presence." Why was she putting this trust into him? Was she falling into another trap...like with Evon? Silver eyes glanced up at him once more. They met his gaze and caught his wink. Cinder then tried to wrap his words again before she spoke softly. "Legend, it isn't a ploy. I couldn't bring myself to be a pawn again...for anyone. My family lives here. They aren't the ones that raised me but I love them just the same. I couldn't hurt them or your pack. I have made friends there too and Akiko has been very generous granting me time with her. I would be hard pressed to find myself against Jabbar. I wouldn't be able to do it....I really don't think I could." Why was she confessing this to him? If Zelda heard would she think her a traitor? A worry crossed her brow and then she cleared her throat. "And as far as Evon goes, if I ever find myself capable, my fangs will be in her throat." Silver eyes hardened at that thought and she stooped picking up the hare and then took the lead.

She felt...odd. It was very strange having Legend seem to...seem to...well seem to pay attention to her. Nobody ever had until she had come to Midnight. Link had been the one of the first. Ahh Link. She couldn't wait to see him. She hoped that his voice was healing. The thought of the older wolf put a little bounce to her step, it would be good to see him. She moved her fast walk into a trot and glanced back at Legend. She was so confused. She flicked her tail in thought and pressed on, making a bee line for the dens.
The hare swayed gently in her delicate jaws and silvery orbs found Zelda as soon as she broke the treeline. Then they fell upon...Exodus? What was she doing here? She looked back at Legend and her eyes spoke louder than words. She was confused and was wondered if this was a trick. She looked back to Zelda and then set the hare down.

Her lyrics carried across the densite.

"I'm Home."

I just remembered I have Exodus in here too. So Legend's font color will change cause I just confused the hell out of myself. Haha!

Bic:||
Legend let her speak and he still held the smile upon his maw. It tugged at the corners of his lips just giving her something other to look at then a angry glare. When she asked if he was going to follow her into the pack lands the smile faded and he looked at her with slight question... Could he walk into the lands of this pack without causing trouble? Could he and would he be able to stand there with her, watching her to make sure they didn't try any funny buisness? Then his mind snapped and he nodded sharply. "Of course I'm going with you Cinder. I am your scout am I not?" he winked and stepped up closer to her.

"Now. Since these are your homelands, lead the way love" he felt suddenly older. It had washed over him so fast and he was looking at her in slight question. As if she would be able to answer the very million questions that were running through his brain. "I hope they don't mind my little self here. I wont say a single word though. Just got to make sure. As long as you're coming back home with me, that this isn't some ploy. But you wouldn't do that to m-- to us, the pack. It's strange how even a light and a dark can make an alliance in the gray" His words were wise, and that wave of older feelings washed over him. Maybe it was just...

It was just her. "I'm sorry again." his words were firm and he looked at her with soft eyes, but a hard gaze. "I am very sorry Cinder, that you have to hold such a guilt like Lacuna...it wasn't any of your fault. Evon was a... words can't even fit to match what I feel towards her" he sighed and stepped sideways so she would take the lead.

Cinder

The sound of footsteps caused her head to swivel and the wolf she saw caused a trickle of fear down her spine. Legend. She sidestepped and her mind was racing, trying to determine if she would be able to outrun the big bru. Then her ashy auds tipped forward and caught his voice. Need some company? Cinder's first thoughts were that this was a ploy to trick her...the way Evon did. Sweet words that were lies falling off the tongue. But his body posture then changed and Cinder was in even more confusion. He was being sorry...ashamed? She was at a loss for words for Legend was speaking like he cared. She felt nervous as he approached and looked down upon her. Funny, you would think she would be used to it by now as she was a tiny wolf in comparision to the average.

She stood silent as he spoke, absorbing his words, feeling strange and confused at the reason behind his apologies and concerns. She flicked her ears back once as he spoke of Evon, that hateful creature that had tricked her. Cinder knew that everyone had forgiven her now, but she was still working on forgiving herself. Evon's deception had rocked her to the core, she had been so innocent and foolish. Even after her gut told her not to trust Evon. She tried listening to her gut now but it wasn't telling her that Legend was spilling falsehoods but dare she listen to her gut now? To this dark wolf that wanted her dead not so long ago?

She listened to him finish speaking and when Legend smiled at her she went into a deeper kind of shock. She was so confused and a pregnant pause developed before she opened her mouth. It was dry, she licked her lips with her delicate pink tongue. Shifting slightly she brought her body back to life. What was all this? She was at somewhat of a loss of words. Blinking quicksilver eyes once, twice, she found her voice which started out softly and rather shy. "Th...thank you Legend. I...um..appreciate your concern." Another pause, she was so confused, she took a deep breath. She wasn't the beaten down whelp anymore she needed to act like the wolfess she was. Standing a little straighter she spoke once more, her voice more level and even. "I also appreciate that you and the others no longer find me at fault for Lacuna's death, although I will carry the guilt with me always." The words that had sent Cinder's head spinning the most were Legend's last ones. "And so. I've come to scout with you back. I would not want to see you go missing Cinder. Not now." She didn't know what he meant by that, so she didn't know what to say she smiled nervously back at him. "Were you going to come into the packlands with me?" Cinder didn't want to be rude and there seemed something really genuine in his smile. He shouldn''t be bothered here at Midnight, as long as she reassured Link and Zelda. "You would be welcome I am almost positive." She flashed him a real smile and moved away from him closer to his rabbit. She felt slightly embarrassed for some reason and looked away from him back down to her fallen quarry. Shifting her feet slightly she waited for his answer.

He hadn't taken too much of a distance behind her, but he had taken quite a bit. Legend watched her body persona change drastically from Jabbar to here and he let his auds point outward as he tried to think of why this could be. It was lands yes, but she had made friends amongst his pack as well as hers. He was deep in thought as she raced off and he hesitated to follow her in such speed. They were in pure lands now, and he was nothing close to pure. Legend coursed along the trees after her, sniffing in the scents that told an old story to him of this place. It had memory and history, something his own lands had nothing of now for it was all new after the fire.

Cinder caught her prize and he trotted rather loudly towards her. Announcing his arrival ahead of time so as to not suprise her. "Need some company?" his voice rang out and he instantly thought of when she arrived in Jabbar with his father and how he had reacted. His ears fell back at that and his head bent a little low, his tail fell and he walked towards her with a shameful body posture. "Cinder. I thought you shouldn't be walking from here to there alone. Not before Akiko's training." He sighed and came up to her now standing full height before her and he looked...down at her? Weird he hadn't really looked somewhat down at anyone. Not even his sister who matched him, who was probably taller then he.

"And I came also to get you alone. And no, it's not to attack you again. I came to actually appologise for that, and for my words back there. I didn't quite understand why a wolf would want to learn how to fight. But I understand now. And I wanted to say sorry for my crude behavior. But before you go in there I also wanted to tell you a few things my father and I agreed on before he left..." The young hessian, the prince of his father's wake through relation not blood took a deep breath and began.

"This may all seem a little odd, it was to me at first, when he spoke, but as maturity with my father rides it's gotten the better of me. Cinder. Thank you. For risking your life to come to Jabbar and to speak on behalf of your actions with our pack mate. But none of us hold you in fault for what happened with Lacuna. All wolves have a choice, as do all other creatures. And she had made yours. If you would have known Evon's plans, you wouldn't have done so as happened, because you are a nice wolf..." He felt the bravado in him leaving. How his father was so dark, but so nice, he didn't understand.

Legend looked away to see if anyone were around, then looked back again. "And so. I've come to scout with you back. I would not want to see you go missing Cinder. Not now." he gave her a smile. Shocking as he knew it would be for him to smile to her, but he ment everything he had said to her. The brute had picked whome he wanted, and she was what he wanted, and to start any sort of relationship with someone you wanted as a companion, you must forgive but never forget, and be friends instead of foes. He didn't want her to hate him...no, in the least, he wanted to love her, and be loved by her in return.

Cinder

Home...the word seemed like honey on her tongue, sweet. She took one last look behind her, back toward Jabbar, her hope to better herself. If she had told anyone but Akiko first they wouldn't have understood. Normal wolven don't understand what it is to be the runt, they don't understand how hard it is to compete against the bigger wolf or how their tactics just don't work as well for small wolven. She sighed. She hoped Link would understand when she had to return. This trip would be a short one. A few days at the longest. She couldn't afford to have Akiko change her mind. Legend's form came to her mind with that thought. She couldn't blame the male for disliking her after she carted Lacuna off to her death, even if it was unknowingly.

She moved her sliver pillars forward slowly. She had run hard and fast to be here. At least she had that going for her, her speed. Her black nose twitched picking up all the scents of home and she relished in them. Her heart started to beat quickly when she caught old trails of Link, Zelda, and the others. Link...she thought. Her heart felt warm. As she walked slowly along she hoped that his voice had returned somehow. She wanted it for him, he had such a beautiful voice....to her own ears anyway.

So deep in thought she stepped over a log and a large jackrabbit flushed. It ran in back toward the border. Hot on it's heels she pursued, it would be a small token for Link. Fear in it's eyes the rabbit ran for it's life and an ivory smile crossed Cinder's lips. There weren't many a rabbit that could outrun her, not now. The border came and went and with two strides she caught the morsel in her jaws, snapping it's spine with a quick shake. Turning around, toward home, she set the hare down and spit some of the hair out of her mouth and bent down to pick up her victim.

Exodus let a smile crease her features as 'Zelda' spoke of her father and the unfortunant and unpleasent event. "As many have had with him. I'm sorry" she let the words sink in before she spoke up again about not being the rightful alphaness. What her father has said was true, back in the day... She sighed internally when she granted her life in the lands. Her maw split open and she spoke softly "Thank You Zelda, and all I've said is true, and yes, there is more, there is always more to tell. My father has sired a group of young. A strange arrangement, for I myself would never bring life unless it were under love between my love and myself.

But Damean, he's sired the young with Akira, the alphaness of Muerta. I don't know if this information is useful. And he's wandering. He's on some stupid mission and before I left to here he had killed his own mother. I'm not quite sure of his intent on all these killings he has planned out, but he says it's for the good of all packs. That there are spies within each lands he must take care of." She gave off a weird grunt when she said all this, and her head looked sideways in slight aggitation.

"I don't quite understand, but it's frustrating. Immensly. I actually hate it really. Not being able to...know things. I just want him to stop. To end. All of him, of it...of them." she let the features on her face shift and she looked at Zelda. "I'm not his daughter, I am but not by blood. He's just reared my brother and I." She looked to the side, as if seeing someone but she mearly was drifting off to space.

"I don't know if that's enough. It's all I have. It may not help, but it's...it's all I've got as my help for you. I don't mean that this can help just a little for you. I'm sorry." He shook her head a little. The mind of hers was a little scared. She hadn't felt so judged before. She shouldn't care as much before there is nothing wrong with being told to go. She had choosen to go from her pack and father, and enter here. She looked around for a moment before landing back on Zelda. "Am I allowed to have a tour? I don't want to take you from your pack, so maybe a member will come with? I don't know if it's out of bounds but I've only known Jabbar, and it was a charred mess from when I can remember." Her eyes twinkled thinking of this new home. It was beautiful even now, and to know the history with light at the end of the tunnle, not some darkness sketched into the mind of the young from birth...

Despite that in reality Exodus knew her name she did not expect anyone to really know who she was. She did not believe she had any reputation that preceded her though she certainly acknowledged the existance of many other wolves in these lands. Nodding her crown she moved her eyes forward and kept a casual pace.

"My name is Zelda and in the past I have met your father and..." hesitating she continued "no matter how unpleasantly I remember that encounter I will try not to judge you from his actions. There seems to be something...different about you. Other, that I can not put a name to." Coming to a stop she paused and turned to face the fae. "While I am not the true alphess here I am the one to claim its title for now. My word may condemn you or embrace you among this pack. Though it is a rarity for one to be turned away." Royal blue eyes fell upon her in a serious weight. There was a conflict raging within in. Her own distrust of the dark pack that she hailed from was interfering with what she knew to be right.

What if she was merely a spy? By accepting Exodus she could lay her packs fate with this stranger. Well it is not like we have not had untrustworthy wolves here before. Tassle flicked while she thought. Finally she spoke, a sigh heaving from her chest. How very wary she was.

"If the information you have brought us is valid than I would guess that telling us that much would put you at a certain risk. And I thank you if you mean it in sincerity." Pausing "Do you have something more you would like to add?" Her voice had softened and her naturally gentle side came in. There was even a motherly edge to it.

Exodus looked at all the wolves while the fem began to speak her suit to her. It happened quickly as the 'lead' looking fem walked past and stepped along side Exodus to head elsewhere, away from them all. The dark pelted female stepped with her, taking the oppertunity to leave the scene. "I do not know your name. Sorry, I guess I should, judging by how this play is acting itself out you're the alpha female? Or someone in high charge." her vocals were softer now. Pure at best. She was glad to have gotten away, gotten a little private time with the infamous Zelda.

Oh, she knew her alright. Her father had said so much about the female who stood against him. She wasn't in no need to speak of her father though. There was nothing left to say about him till she was asked again soon. Exodus wanted to let everything go as if she were not part of her father's old pack. She didn't want to be known by that title. The princess of darkness. She was just a wolf now...a nothing but flesh and blood.

One who withholds wisdom...

Zelda noted the others coming to her side. She did not think it was really necessary. It was only one lone fae, darkness holding her or not. Her name was Exodus, which confirmed the thought of her being of Damean's kin. The news that Damean had left the lands made her tilt her dial curiously. Yes, there had been some strangeness about that brute when he had come here. When she mentioned attack she merely frowned. They were in no position to do so, especially not now. It pleased her to hear that Cinder was fine, though she would still prefer to hear it from the fem herself. She was unsure how she felt about the strength of Jabbar even with the chaos that had swept FnI.

What came next surprised her. She came to join? Her face turned from its hard lines and merely looked puzzled. Not that she could've kept such a facade for any time length. Watching as she moved to a sitting position, leaving herself vulnerable she felt a sting of sincerity to the fems words. Of course they knew how horrible it was to reside in a dark pack. All that hatred and blood lust. It disgusted her. Even more she was disgusted with the scar upon the fems neck. She actually growled. Who would put that on such a young one?

Looking from side to side at her wolve she flicked her tassle. "Go, she brings no threat." Then she stalked past Exodus and motioned her to follow. "Do you know my name Exodus?" she was bringing the fem away from the pack were they would only watch her with untrusting gazes.

Link took all this in and only listened for the mostly for the comment of Cinder. He was ready to bolt to Jabbar if he learned that harm had come to her. With all the wolves assembling around them and the news that Cinder was fine he realized that his tense posture was not helping to calm things down. He looked at Exodus curiously who claimed that she wanted to join the pack. He did not interfer when Zelda wanted to speak to her alone. He trusted his sister and merely turned and motioned the other wolves to back away.
The other who withholds courage...

Balthier caught the scent of darkness, guessing which pack she came from. He merely looked in Exodus' direction, in a bored manner. When Morgan clearly wanted to investigate this scent, he was about to tell Vaarak to stay still, but it appeared he was beaten to it... by none other than his younger brother's fatherly figure. It looks like it's working, too. He's good. Ran through his mind. With one glance at his brother, he walked forward, still far enough away to appear unconcerned, but close enough to dart into action. His surprisingly quick speed would catch her off guard, especially since he probably wasn't of her notice at the moment, as most of the others approached the intruder.

Vaarak looked around when Morgan said he'd be back. As he opened his mouth to retort, one look stopped the words that were about to come out. Nodding, he watched from where he stood, even though it wasn't necessarily put into words to remain. He had a feeling that if he were to follow, he might get lectured later... from at least two wolves...

Fran happened to be located nearby where Exodus was, and was able to listen in from where she was. She was... interesting. Darkness shrouded around her, yet... it was different. Perhaps somewhat clouded, as the white wolf said she didn't want to be a pack of the dark packs. Still... it didn't explain why here and not a neutral pack...

She spoke up, "If I may ask," she was reffering both to Zelda and Exodus, "Why a pack such as this, and not a neutral pack? Most wolves raised from either pure of darkness wouldn't decide to reside with the other." Looking cautiously between intruder and alphess, she continued, "We do outnumber her, though, so I think we can afford to at least listen, right? Besides, it seems to me, she had leaned towards being a healer." She smiled. It wasn't hard for her to pick out fellow healers... no matter where they came from. It was one of those abilities one eventually picks up when they've been raised for that task their whole life.
