Winter, 2013-2014
December 1st - February 28th
After the first heavy snowfall, these evergreens on the northern
outskirts of Midnight Meadows will become packed with snow, as depicted
here.

Ice has overcome the lands, seemingly extinguishing fire. Temperatures drop,
darkness grows, and life will become hard for those in the wild. Water freezes.
Prey becomes scarce. And plans that have been waiting for so long, no begin
to take action. This winter will not be an easy one; it is predicted, with the
heavy rainfall of the past season, that just as much snow is expected. However,
there is one shining light amongst all of this: it is mating season, and the cold,
frightful weather calls for closeness in the dens and allows time to slow,
encouraging long, engaging conversations about the dreams beyond.

.Site Season. Autumn-Waterfalls
Autumn, 2013
August 31st - November 30th
This calm, breathtaking waterfall stream can be seen on the northwest
edge of Hamara Sydan, near the Tirisfal Valley border. The water actually stems
off from Serenity Lake.

Once again, summer has flown by and autumn has arrived, bringing in its colorful
display of copper, topaz, and golden leaves. Plant life in Fire and Ice flourished
this year, especially in Tirisfal Valley, Jabbar Junayd, and Hamara Sydan, given
the very rainy conditions of the early mornings and late evenings. It can be
expected that mornings this fall will be quick and frosty, but the skies will be
crisp and clear. It is also this time of year that most of the pups born last seasons
are about a year old, and are learning valuable skills that are certain to guide
them in the future. Some of them may even be expierencing their first love, soon.
It is questionable as to what will become of this fall, but one thing is for sure: change
is on the horizon, whether it be for each wolf or each pack, something wicked comes
this way.

Summer, 2013
June 1st - August 31st

Spring has finally bloomed into summer, welcoming warm winds and plenty of
game back into the lands of Fire and Ice. Like the weather had been in the
spring, the days are mild, often rainy in the mornings and sunny during the
day, with fog clouds hanging around at night. Now is the time that the packs
are thriving; the young are learning their place in the pack, the old are teaching
them well, and the rest are carrying out their lives as they planned. There have
been no severe storms or flooding as of to date, but that does not mean that
they will not happen. Nothing can compare to the typhoon that once swept
through Hamara Sydan, nor the colossal flood that had washed out the Black
Pearl several years ago. For now, the thunder is gentle, and the lightning brief.
Because of this rain, the lands are more humid this season than arid, spare the
Lone Lands. The sort of fall to come at the end is unpredictable, given the way
that the past year has flown by.

Spring, 2013
March 1st - May 31st

A cold winter is finally laid to rest as the sun returns to the lands of Fire and Ice,
long hidden behind grey clouds and dark nights. The snow is slow to melt, lingering
as slush, but when it does, the world will be alive with fresh flowers and green
trees, as well as new lives. Wolf pups open their eyes and climb out into this new
world, this world of beauty and life. The herds that fled south also return, bringing
their young, meaning a plentiful hunt for all packs. This spring appears to be mild,
but jovial, indeed.

Winter, 2012
December 1st - February 28th

Bitter cold chills the mortal bones as autumn vanishes to winter. Frost clings to the
earth and the days become dark. No heavy snow has fallen just yet; it seems to be
a quiet, uneventful winter so far, compared to the horrendous blizzards the wolves
have encountered in the past. They remain close together and stay in the dens, only
coming out to hunt or socialize. Now, when they are in the warmth of their homes,
is when they turn to one another and give in to their more primal instincts of mating
season. They bond when the rest of the world is sleeping, so that they may emerge
into a full and beautiful spring.

Fall, 2012
September 1st - November 30th

The summer heat has set the trees on fire in a brilliant display of amber and gold. The
weather itself remains sweltering, even after the sun has gone down, inviting in an evening
ground fog that clings to the earth. The presence of rain clouds suggest that a cold front
is soon to be on its way, and eventually, the nights will become longer and colder. Now is
the season that stories turn to legends, that myths become reality. Now is when the shadows
grow and things go bump in the night. But when the warm sun rises, all will be settled
and bright, waiting for winter's wrath. The wolves also wait, howling to the moon, as their
ancestors have done many eons ago.

Weather Update!
July 9th, 2012

Summer is now in full swing, meaning that dramatic weather has descended upon
the thriving wolf packs. Though the wolves and other inhabitants of the land are doing
well, a scorching drought is on its way, and moving along the northern half of the
continent. This drought includes Hamara Sydan, Tirisfal Valley, Muerta Mountains, and
the Black Pearl. Jabbar Junayd and Midnight Meadows, at the moment, are blessed
with a rain passage before also being starved by the drought. The drought will bring
high temperatures and cause the once-plentiful prey to become scarce. Hopefully, the
drought will not last long, for a world without water invites fire in...

Summer, 2012
June 1st - August 31st

The days grow longer and the sun shines brighter as summer comes into full fling.
Pups born in the late winter or early spring now walk and talk about, learning important
skills that will be essential to their lives in the lands of Fire and Ice. Prey is plentiful now,
especially with an annual elk run that will be running through Tirisfal Valley. With the
excitement of the summer, though, also comes the dangers; the Lone Lands are unbearable
at this time of year, the sands hotter and drier than ever. Some of the territories with open
plains or meadows are prone to lightning strikes and droughts, with strong thunderstorms
looming overhead. Overall, this summer is milder than there has been in the past, but at
the same time, extremely unpredictable.

Spring, 2012
March 1st - May 31st

Winter has lifted its icy cloak and spring flourishes throughout the lands. Flowers bud
and trees regrow their leaves, small at first, and then large and leafy in preparation for
the scorching summer ahead. Now is the best time for healers to gather supplies, with
some of the most essential herbs to a stash growing for a limited amount of time.
Mating season gives way to birthing season, as spring welcomes children of all kinds,
and the entire continent is bursting with life. Deer and their fawns graze the meadows,
mother birds teach their chicks how to fly, and grizzly bears guide their young across
the rivers. The weather is calm, mostly with sunny days and gentle breezes, with the
occasional rainy drizzle. This spring appears to be very promising for the wolf packs.

OOC: Yes, there has been a time skip in the seasons... We're well aware that
spring comes before summer, not after. However, we're working on updating the site, and
because most of us are in the Northern Hemisphere, it's easier to have the site seasons go
alongside the seasons that actually happen when they happen. Keep an eye out here for
any particular weather updates, such as a massive drought or blizzard, or even a mention
about a certain weather condition effecting a pack (such as the typhoon in Hamara not long
ago). Stay tuned!

Fire and Ice is littered with the remnant of the trees. The crunchy leaves underfoot create a colorful pathway for travelers to tred on.The days have grown shorter as winters chill creeps in on the lands. The pups that were born in the spring/summer are getting older. All the packs are preparing for the coming months when game will be sparse.
