Hunting For Love

Mirror looked at the caribou in front of her. She hasn't had a nice meal in 4 days and she was starving. She sneaked up on a calf,a good target for a wolf. She jumped up and attacked the calf. The calf bleated as the herd ran away. Mirror held on as caribou hit her as they ran and the calf wiggled to break free. After a few minutes, the caft died. She started eat when she felt that she was being watched. Mirror inored it and started eatting again.

Mirror was done with her meal when she smelled a male nearby. She said calmly," You can come out. I don't bite." She looked around for a male. She said," Please show yourself." She sat down and licked her lips."

Coyote slips out into the open, looking at the Fem and the meal. "Hello. I am Coyote. Who are you?" He sits down, clearly at ease.

Mirror looked to the sound of a voice,a male voice. She looked and saw a wolf,whos name was Coyote. She sat down and said," I am Mirror.Nice to meet you." She looked at the caribou calf. It was half eaten. She asked Coyote," You hungry?" Mirror brought the calf near him. She smiled as she waited for him to respond.

"Pleasure to meet ya. Yes please." He leans forward and starts to chew on the carcass. He watches Mirror out of the corner of his eye.

Mirror looked around and then looked at him. She was curious about him. She decide to ask him somethings," What pack do you live in,or do you?" I live want to live in the Midnight Meadow." She yawned and then smiled.

"Right now I dont live in a pack. I was looking for a mate before heading to a pack. In a pack you have a very limited choice." He gives a very goofy grin.

Mirror smiled at Coyote as she said," True,True." She saw Coyote's goofy grin and giggled a bit. He was a funny wolf,one of her favorite type of wolves. She smiled as she heard a noice in the weeds. "COYOTE,DUCK!" A mountain lion was about to jump on him.

He whips around with a snarl. Instantly his goofy demeaner is gone and he looks dangerous. He growls as he leaps at the mountain lion, locking his jaws around its shoulder. The lion turns its head and bites down on his shoulder, crushing some of the bone.

Coyote snarls and shifts his head, biting down on the side of the neck.

Mirror looks at Coyote. She was surpised on how he hung on when his bones were crushed. She growled and jumped on the lion's back. Th elion swong and Mirror hit a rock. She looked at the lion,blood on the side of her face. She was not giving up that easyly. She ran and bit his neck.

He struggles to bury his teeth deaper into the neck, and hits something the same time as Mirror bites its neck. Her hears a satisfying snap, crack, POP! As the lion dies. He scrambles over to Mirror. "You OK?"

Mirror looked up at Coyote,blood on her mouth,trying to catch her breath and said," Yes,what about your bone?" She walked over and licked his wounds. She was a caring wolf,wants no harm to her friends. She looked at him out of the corner of her eyes. She went around his body and licked his wounds.

"It'll heal." Then he goes back to his goofy self. He hops towards the calfs carcass and bites off a piece of meat, throws it in the air, and catches it. "Want some?" He grins goofily around the meat.

Mirror looked at him sweetly and said said," No I ate before I saw you." She smiled and wagged her tail. SHe yawned and layed down. She said to Coyote," I'm tired. Wanna come to my den?" She stood up and wagged her tail

"Um Ok." He follows after her, tail wagging. He bounces along the path on three legs. He had grabbed the remainder of the food and was carrying it with them.

Mirror looked at Coyote walking on three legs. She stopped and said," Are you hurt on youe leg?" She tilted her head and looked at his paw. She would drag the meat if he was. She walked beside the meat.

"Im fine. Just trying not to use the bad shoulder." He bounces ahead of her and doubles back. "How much longer?"

Mirror looked and saw her den. "There." She walked inside and said,"Den Sweet Den. Make yourself at home. Stay as long as you want." She sat down and smiled. She wagged her tail. She said," Just put the meat..there." She looked at a spot in the cave.

Coyote bounces over and sets the meat down. He curls up on the floor and closes his eyes. His ears twitch. He yawns and falls asleep.

Mirror was tired herself. She layed down in a ball beside him and fell asleep. She dreamed. That morning,she woke up and ate a piece of the meat. As she ate,she waited for him to wake up.

Coyote wakes up and yawns, stretching. He scampers over to the meat and eats some. "Good morning." He says to Mirror. "How did you sleep?"

Mirror smiled at Coyote as he asked her a question,"Good.Good. What about you?" She looked into his eyes and wagged her tail. She was sort of liking him.Liking in having a crush on him.

"Pretty well." He stretches like a cat. He gives her a soft sideways look. If he didnt know better, he was getting a crush on her! "Whatcha wanna do today?"

Mirror sighed as she said," Nothing much." She looked at Coyote," You have anything in mind." She smiled as she looked out of the den. She wagged her tail a bit.
