Formal Curse: Robin
Title[s]: Queen's Advisor and Delta Male
Alias: Robin
Decent: Arctic Wolf
Age: 5 years
Gender: Male
Persona:
Robin is a true romanticist with a classical twist. He is usually the first to greet newcomers, and most of the time, it is with the warm, kindly manner of any pure wolf. He has a strong loyalty with the pack and to his mate, Alaina, and will fiercely defend both when the time comes. Robin is very logical, thinking through problems before advancing, but he is also very prone to his emotions. He is a man of passion; when he is relaxed, he is joyful, but when he is stressed, he is broody. Regardless, Robin carries his role as a father to his children and a Delta to the pack quite seriously, and always has his eyes on an optimistic future.

Rank: Queen's Advisor and Delta Male

X.Background.X

Life Story:

Robin grew up on the icy plains of the Arctic, his pack having traveled far and away from the tundra where most other wolves lived. He learned
to appreciate the beauty of the snow and the sky, and led a good life. His pack was neutral, having fled from the war down south, and his mind
evolved into that of a pure's. His pack valued respect, and thus he adopted these traits when he ventured into the Lands of Fire and Ice. He
had been curious of the world around him, and wanted to know what other kind of wolves existed in the world.

Upon coming to Tirisfal Valley, his heart was stolen by the Queen, Silent Snowfall. This was an unrequited love, but he could not yet be heartbroken. His heart led him to another in the pack, a beautiful femora by the name of Alaina, who believed she could never fit in because she was half-husky. Robin eased her pain and helped her make her feel at home, and the two fell in love. Together, they birthed three whelps - Jewel, Robin Junior, and Koda - and still remain very much in love, as they carry their titles of Delta together.

Things appeared to be going well for Robin and his family, until the unfortunate death of his son, Koda, who was attacked by a rogue wolf. The death had been unbeknownst to Robin until he came back from the pack borders, having safeguarded them from Tirisfal's rival, Muerta. He felt entirely responsible for his son's death, having not been there to protect him, and a darker, edgier side of Robin was revealed. Robin, however, manages to maintain a level head, but he is much more skeptical of newcomers than he was in the past. He still believes that all wolves have a chance for redemption, but only with the trust in the wolves around him and his mate, will his faith be truly restored.

X.Background.X
Life Story:
Lacrimosa Lake. A wide, icy lake with a mirrored surface surrounded by tall, spindly trees. It is quiet and it is dark, and it is the perfect place for wolves aligned as such to call it their home. These wolves called themselves the Lacrimosas, and designated that they would be a pure-blooded race, of 100% wolven blood. Their Master and Mistress were the most pure-blooded of all, and thus established a line of royalty. They were a tight-knit and secretive pack, one that functioned way beyond the borders of Fire and Ice. For decades, they ruled the forest they claimed their territory, slaughtering anyone they considered a threat. They were a pack determined to not only rule, but to conquer. They took on neighboring packs with their elite warriors and honed skills. It is from the pack of Lacrimosa that the strongest of wolves come.

Evanescence was no different. Being the last-born daughter of the Master, Nightwish von Lacrimosa, it was at first perceived that she would not be as strong as her first-born brother, Manheim. This was proved wrong, however, as Manheim was a very sickly Prince. Evanescence proved to be stronger than her two older sisters, Epica and Within Temptation, and she began to glow in the eyes of her father, a cruel and callous man himself. At the age of two years, she was able to join the ranks of the Elite; other wolves her age were still in training. She was a fast learner with natural talent. At the same time, however, she was secluded from the usual socialization of a wolf as young as her - this, perhaps, aided in the development of a very sociopathic personality. Whatever the cause, Evanescence became one of the strongest, sharpest, and most terrifying wolves in her pack.

Though she knew she was stronger than him, Evanescence always felt in competition with her brother Manheim. What bothered her the most was the attention Manheim received from their mother, Lacuna Coil. No matter how hard Evanescence had tried, nothing she could do would please her mother. And it seemed that everything Manheim did for her, it was the best thing in the whole wide world. Thus, Evanescence grew to hate him. She came to admire and long for the sort of power her father held, with his iron jaws and steel might. She became his protege, and the offspring that Manheim could never become.

Things were going well for the Lacrimosa pack, until Manheim one day stood up to his father. He was sick of being beaten down, broken, and compared to his sister. A punishing battle ensued, with Nightwish as the victor. But Manheim's punishment did not end with just the blood and claws of his father, but the rest of the pack. They scowled upon him and called him foolish for challenging the king, though he was the rightful heir. None could see where he was coming from, and so he fled, unable to survive in such a dark place. Not long after, Lacuna Coil left, as well. It was instantly assumed that she went to search for Manheim, since the two were so close as a mother and son. This deeply angered Nightwish. It was one thing to challenge him, but it was completely another for his Queen to just run off. And so... He sent Evanescence after her, labeling Manheim and Lacuna as traitors to the pack, and giving her orders to kill.

Evanescence followed Lacuna's scent into the lands of Fire and Ice. It was there she entered the pack of Avithine Lotric (now called "Midnight Meadows"). She became sidetracked, however, when she learned that she could possibly take over this pack of pure wolves... She could only imagine the pride her father would have in her if she not only managed to bring back Lacuna and Manheim dead, but an entire pack in chains, as well. The Avithines did not completely trust her, but after she had saved the Alphess' daughter, Lunarshadows, from falling down a crevasse caused by an earthquake, she was allowed permanent residence in the pack. It was only Moonlight, the Alphess, that seemed to grant her this, as the other wolves sensed that something was very wrong about her. They knew she was the last thing from pure, but obeyed their Queen as ordered. The only wolf that ever particularly acted out against her and seemed to despise her was Zelda, the beta of the pack. Of all the wolves in the pack, Evanescence knew she was the strongest, for she seemed to be the only wolf that could see through her lies.

During her residence in Avithine Lotric, it was invaded by humans, particularly poachers looking for wolf hides. Evanescence had gotten in yet another argument with Moonlight, and out of spite she went out on a solitary expedition throughout the lands. Hunters shot at her from an airplane. She took a bullet in her right shoulder blade, but managed to dodge all the rest, the hunters eventually losing interest in her white hide. Angry with the Avithine pack, still, she did not go to their healers, but called upon her sisters, Epica and Within Temptation, in the Lone Lands. They were her loyal sisters as well as elite fighters, and would do anything to protect the heiress of the Lacrimosa pack. While Epica removed the bullet, Evanescence informed them that they would initiate the takeover of the pack... and so they did.

The coup d'etat was pulled off without a hitch. Evanescence and her sisters were still welcomed in Avithine lands. Moonlight was shot by humans, killing her instantly. An icy blizzard struck, preventing any of the wolves from leaving. But despite the storm, Evanescence sent the weakest member of the pack, a young fae named Cinder, to search for her mother. Cinder, terrified and having a history of abuse, could do nothing but obey Evon's orders out of fear. She brought Lacuna back, not knowing that Evanescence planned on killing her. When she did, and Evanescence planned for her execution, the Avithine pack struck pack, wishing to save Lacuna and their pack. It was a losing battle, though, as Evon dealt a very damaging blow to Zelda's brother, Link, destroying his vocal chords so he could no longer speak, taking away his honor as wolf.

The blizzard passed, and it seemed that the Avithine pack had lost all hope, and that Evanescence was now their ruling Queen. Evanescence prepared for Lacuna's execution again - she knew fairly well that this was her mother, but her mother was a traitor. Just as she was about to strike the killing blow, Manheim appeared, challenging her. Their fight was brutal and bloody, crimson staining the snow like no other battle in the lands of Avithine Lotric had before. Evanescence still proved stronger than her brother, though... She was going to kill him, too, but Lacuna threw herself in front of him at the last second, sacrificing her life to protect her son. It was this action that sent Evon into a blind rage, launching herself onto Manheim, but he knew that something in her mind had collapsed. He managed to take control of the battle and flip her onto her back, forever banishing her from the lands. And she did, leaving Epica and Temptation behind.

Evanescence wandered the Lone Lands for the rest of the winter, lost in her mind. She struggled to find her sanity, and thought for a few weeks that she could find it in the heart of another wolf. Her heat came and went with unsuccessful suitors. But it wasn't so much of that she was a promiscuous harlot for some time, but that she had... really killed her mother. The one woman who loved her, regardless of the monster she was. Evon fell deeper and deeper into this mindset, and now had no choice but to accept what she was. A monster. A white witch. She finally had to accept that. There was no good in her. Only... Lacrimosa darkness.

Her downfall led her back to Lacrimosa Lake, but her mission to bring Lacuna and Manheim's dead bodies back was... unsuccessful. And Nightwish would not see to that. Like his son, he punished her, allowing the pack to turn on her and tear her apart. She scarcely made it out alive, fleeing back down into the Lone Lands. She knew that Lacrimosa would soon send out assassins for her skin, too. She called upon her sisters one last time, dismissing them from any further missions. She wanted nothing to do with them, as the rest of the Lacrimosa pack wanted her dead. And now she wandered the Lone Lands once again.

But it was in these Lone Lands that she found a young whelp, one without a name. She took the violent little pup under her wing and gave her the name Chimera. She did not announce the whelp her adopted daughter, but more of a minion that would obey her every command. They traveled back to Lacrimosa Lake to discover that the place was completely abandoned... apparently, the pack had torn itself apart. The thought of being the Lacrimosa heiress still very much alive in her mind, Evon named herself Mistress of Lacrimosa. Evanescence trained the young Chimera well, and together the two culminated a most deceitful plan unlike anything the wolves of Fire and Ice had ever seen before...

Formal Curse: Julien
Title[s]: Lone wolf
Alias: Julien
Decent: Grey wolf
Age: 4 years
Gender: Male
Persona: He's a bit of an oddball... He's not afraid to say what's on his mind, allowing him to be blunt, but he does not say everything that he thinks. Life has taught him to look out for himself, so he's always been a little bit selfish. His actions seem suspicious to some, and thus, he's not the most trustworthy wolf. Julien chooses who he is friends with not based on their alliance or pasts, but their current actions and personalities. When it comes down to it, he's rather open-minded and experimental, and isn't afraid to try things that others would not do, especially if it involved moral consequences. He's always had a blurred view of morals, anyways.
Heart: Dark, neutral, pure... He doesn't like to classify himself. He is who he is; true neutral

X.Background.X
Life Story: Blue has lived an already well-rounded life for being so young, allowing her to grow into a very mature femora indeed. She was born in the uneventful countryside to two purebred German Shepherds, Drake and Belle. She was one of a litter of six, and born to a human family that had raised many litters from Drake and Belle before. Also like the litters before, she and the other pups were put up for sale when they were a little older than six weeks, disappearing quickly to neighboring farmers that needed herding dogs for their livestock. In the meantime, though, the youngest boy of the human family - a 4 year-old by the name of Charlie - was enthralled with the bouncy and energetic puppies. He especially connected with Blue, and thus the human family allowed "Boo-Boo" to be kept. Under the training of the father of the human family, Hans, Blue became another herding dog, in addition to Drake and Belle.

For the first four years of her life, Blue was a healthy young German Shepherd. She grew up with Charlie, running with him through the woods and protecting him from coons, and sleeping at his side when he went fishing in the stream. She herded the cows when commanded to do so, and guarded the flocks when night fell. Wolves were not much of a problem, as they mainly kept to themselves and knew of the ferocity of the watchdogs. Coyotes were the ones that Blue tangled with more, but eventually they learned to keep off the property.

The farm life treated Blue well, until an uneventful foreclosure happened to the human family that owned her. A massive economic depression swept the nation, and the family was forced sell the farm, the rest of their livestock, and Blue and move into an apartment in The City with Drake and Belle. Blue was adopted by ex-Lieutenant Stark of Bloody Hound & Co., where Stark offered Hans a job. Hans took the job and wanted to keep an eye on Blue, but he fell dreadfully sick before he could reclaim ownership. Not much is known of Hans and Blue's old family, except that Stark cut off all communication with them so he could keep Blue and train her with the rest of his fighting dogs.

The life that Stark provided for Blue was massively different from the one she had come to know and love. He called her "The Shadow" in place of her former name, but to all of the other dogs he owned, she still called herself "Blue", and still does to this day. It was here - in the shadows of The City, with the dirt and the rank and the bloody - that she met another German Shepherd named Jack. Jack was hard, callous, and had a heart that burned for freedom. Blue could sense this. If not for Jack's guidance in the ways of the fighter, she would have never survived when Stark put her in the ring. She never received any fatal injuries, but has had her fair share of Pit Bull maulings and relinquished Rottweiler wrestles. Among all of the females that Stark had ever had, Blue was the only one he ever considered keeping; she was sharp and tenacious, and her moves (in Stark's eyes) were more wolf-like than dog-like. He admired this quality in Blue, and thus put her up against a wolf by the name of Greylisle.

The thought of Blue fighting Greylisle did not sit well at all with Jack. Seeing as a chance to break out of Stark's kennel for good, Jack and Blue formulated a plan that would let loose not only them, but many of Stark's other dogs, too. They boarded Stark's truck that went to the fighting ring, and the moment Blue was in the cage to fight Greylisle and Greylisle drew blood, Jack attacked Stark, the other dogs following suit. Chaos broke out, and the dogs managed to make their escape. Jack and Blue fled for the northern side of town, where they were able to avoid the packs of feral dogs that called themselves kings and queens of the streets. They survived day-to-day, hunting rats and scavenging for food. Eventually, though, they knew they had to come to terms with at least one of the packs to live.

Luckily, a friendly pack of dogs stumbled in on Jack and Blue when they were staying in an abandoned warehouse. Led by an Alaskan Malamute by the name of Steele and a Boxer mix by the name of Sasha, Blue joined this motley crue. She called Brutus, Richard, and Cane her adoptive brothers, who gave her further protection from any brute that tried to mess with her (though, it was already evident she was capable of taking care of her own). She also called the Doberman Pinscher, Domino, her adoptive sister, though they were anything but. Domino was extremely hot-headed and thirsty for fights, whereas Blue was calm and would rather avoid them. She didn't like showing her teeth unless she had to.

While Blue was adopted into this pack, she spent much time on her own, however. She would disappear for days at a time, which would often worry Jack, but he had his mate Magenta to ease his worries. Blue searched for the family that used to own her, wandering the streets for a familiar scent, and even making a three-month-long journey back to the farm that she used to live, in search of where they had gone. Once, she thought she saw Charlie at the market, and she could have sworn that he was about to call her his Boo-Boo, but a disgruntled grocery man swatted her with a newspaper for being too close to his tomatoes, breaking her away from the scene entirely. Her heart ached for the warm touch of the Missus' hand, or even the soothing voice of Hans on a stormy night. She missed the comfort of her mother and father, and the many more puppies they had romping around all over the place and sleeping next to her. She had had hope that once she had freed herself from Stark, that things would be all right, and they would go back to the way they were, but she was sadly mistaken.

Upon one of her returns to Steele's pack, she discovered the death of Magenta and her litter. Jack was livid, tearing apart any dog that resembled a wolf that crossed his path. Steele had tried to console him for his loss, but the old Malamute's words were not enough to ice the fiery Shepherd's wrath. Only Blue was able to reach through to Jack, suggesting that they leave The City. She had been to the countryside before, and knew that Jack would find it soothing. Unfortunately, all he could think about was tearing the hides off of wolves when he got there. Blue hoped - and keeps hoping - that he will eventually come to terms with himself, though she does not know if this will ever be possible. Along the way into the forest and countryside, they met up with more dogs, and formed their own pack, and entered the lands of Fire and Ice.
Place of Birth: The Countryside

The second scar (which is actually a number of small scars together), are past bite marks on his muzzle. A pit bull had managed to crush his right nasal passage, and leaving white hair to grow in the places that it had bitten him. All of his other scars are now concealed.

X.Background.X
Life Story: Jack has lived a hard life of war and blood. Born in a puppy mill in the largest city ever to be built by mankind, he never had time to know his actual mother, father, or any of his littermates. He was shipped in a box with hundreds of other puppies all over the city - to pet stores, to farms, to special orders, and to anyone requesting a pure-bred German Shepherd. Jack happened to have been sorted into a box that was sold to a company named Bloody Hound & Co. This company was a dog-fighting company, unrestricted in its permissions and unmonitored by the federal government. They were able to slip under the radar as a manufacturing facility by day, claiming to be a meat processing plant. Bloody Hound & Co., (or BHC for short), special-ordered certain breeds of dogs so their customers could raise them into fighting champions. The owner of the company, a discharged military lieutenant by the name of Stark, took interest in Jack. Stark had raised many other breeds of dog before, from Doberman Pinschers to Pit Bulls and even to Alaskan Malamutes. He adopted him and trained him to be the fiercest fighter within the limits of the German Shepherd breed.

Jack was placed in the fighting ring when he was a little more than a year old. His first opponent, though, was one that would define his life - Someone had been able to get a hold of a wolf, and trained it to attack any dog on site. Jack was severely outranked, but Stark insisted that he fight, lest he be claimed useless and shot between the eyes. The fight was as aggressive as it could be, blood splattering the cement floor. It was in this arena with this wolf that Jack received his first scar - a 5-inch long cut, sliced from the top of his backbone and down to the edge of his left flank. The fight was called off, for Stark believed he had finally brought out the potential of Jack, and proclaimed him a fighter. Had Stark not done this, Jack would have bled to death. Though callous and cruel, Stark knew when he had a good, strong fighter on his hands... and that is precisely what Jack was.

For the next five years of his life, Jack was all about the fight. He became Stark's main fighter and weapon, and in addition became the official mascot for Bloody Hound & Co. Jack wrestled with Rottweilers, tangled with Rhodesian Ridgebacks, dominated other German Shepherds, and clashed with Pit Bulls. A Pit Bull, (one Jack remembers distinctly as Luke), gave Jack his next fatal scar, or number of scars, for that matter. Caught up in the heat of the battle, Luke's jaws clamped down on Jack's muzzle, crushing his right nasal passage and nearly tearing his throat out. The move was considered illegal, and as a penalty, Jack was given a free blow on Luke while he was restrained. The enraged German Shepherd ended up killing Luke right on the spot.

Though these years being raised by Stark were dark, Jack befriended only one of Stark's other dogs - a female German Shepherd by the name of Blue. Blue was two years younger than him and had a very different story, but they had both ended up in the same place. They developed a very brother-sister relationship, Jack protecting Blue from Stark's other dogs, who needed to be restrained at all times. When word came around that Blue was a rising fighter and was to go up against an opponent named Greylisle, something stirred within Jack... Greylisle... Something seemed awfully familiar about him, and then he realized who it was: Greylisle was the wolf that he had first faced, five years ago...

Though he knew she was skilled, Jack wouldn't allow Blue to go into the arena. Stark was not as forgiving with females as he was with males. Together, they formulated a plan: Blue would face Greylisle, and right after the two had clashed for a while, Jack would attack Stark, causing a commotion and calling off the fight, and in the pandemonium of it all, they would escape as free dogs. Blue agreed, though she knew that she and Jack alone could not possibly conduct this plan on their own. Using her feminine wiles, Blue convinced Stark's other dogs that there did exist such a thing as freedom. Though hesitant and wary (not to mention threatening to rip the meat from her bones), they trusted Blue. Stark and his dog yard was only three miles away from the factory, and he drove a small moving truck to travel from place to place, allowing the dogs to slip inside. Everything went according to plan, if not better - Blue clashed with Greylisle, and the moment her blood hit the floor, Jack erupted on Stark, and the rest of his dogs followed suit. People panicked and fled. The owner of Greylisle threw open the arena gate and Greylisle leapt out, tearing the throats out of all that were near him. Jack, Blue, and a number of other of Stark's dogs managed to flee through the back door just as the police were called, shooting Greylisle and any other dogs down on the spot.

Now alone in The City, Jack knew that he and Blue needed to find a safe place to stay. They wandered all the way to the northern edge of town, hiding from warehouse to warehouse, and surviving on what they could find. One night while they were staying in one of these abandoned warehouses, a pack of dogs stumbled across them. Jack did not trust any of these dogs at all - especially considering he had fought at least two of them - but he knew that he and Blue could not survive by themselves. The Alpha of the pack, an Alaskan Malamute named Steele, adopted Jack and Blue as his children. In addition, Steele's wife, a Boxer mix by the name of Sasha, adopted them as well, welcoming them into their motley crue. It was here that Jack befriended Brutus, Richard, and Cane; they became brothers to him as he roamed the streets, Washington Avenue in particular. He also befriended a Doberman Pinscher by the name of Domino, who became more of a sister to him than anything. It was through Domino, though, that he met his mate, another German Shepherd named Magenta.

Magenta was the closest thing other than Blue that Jack has had to love. He and Magenta coupled, and on a cold winter evening she birthed the whelps that pulsed with Jack's fighting blood. Becoming a father had truly changed his bloody view of life into one that could be developed and virtuous, and he became a different kind of man altogether. He was out hunting for Magenta one night, hoping he would come upon fresh meat for her, but had to resort to leftover Chinese food instead he found in the dumpster. Upon bringing it back to the collapsed tunnel that she had made her den, Jack realized that something was distinctly wrong - he heard no puppy sounds, he heard no Magenta, and he could smell blood... lots of it. Jack darted into the makeshift den and discovered that his beloved and litter were slaughtered, and the powerful scent of wolf filled his nares, fueling his hatred for wolves once again.

Jack slipped back into darkness once again. No longer would he open up his heart, only to have it slain by the wolves he called ancestors. No. He despised them, hated them, and tracked down any wolf in The City and slaughtered them on the sight, seeking revenge. He would find the killer, and he would never let that go, not even until his dying day.

Silvers Stuffs 6914441643_45e87e23e2

X.General Information.X
Formal Curse: Jacqueline
Title[s]: Pirate
Alias: Jackie
Decent: Grey Wolf
Age: 4 years
Gender: Female
Persona: Laid-back and lighthearted, Jackie loves to have fun. Whether it's stirring up trouble for the alphas, chasing and romping with coyotes, or taking extreme risks, she has an energetic thirst for adventure. She is very much a free spirit, one that doesn't bother to be tied down with a mate or by serious matters. Her unrestrained mindset can be seen as careless, as she usually tosses caution to the wind in favor of fun. She is a daredevil that can't resist a challenge, no matter how high the stakes. As free as she is, though, Jackie has a very strong sense of loyalty to her close friends and family.
Heart: Neutral
Motto: "When you learn to let go, that's when the fun really begins."
Sounds Like: Mila Kunis

X.Physical Traits.X
Peltage Hue: A mixture of muddy browns, sandy tans, and silvery greys
Occular Hue: From a distance, her eyes are a gentle, sea-foam green, but up close, one can see the swaths of cerulean blue and flecks of gold contained within. Her eyes often reflect her emotions, brightening when she is excited, and dulling when she is depressed
Stands: Small
Weighs: Medium
Form: Small and lithe, Jackie is quick and sleight of paw. She carries herself with a bit of a swagger, relaxed and casual, but her many adventures have proven her to be quite nimble. Her hips sway to tease the boys, and her shoulders often slouch. Her posture appears disrespectful, but this is because she doesn't much care for formalities
Physical Distortions: A thick, gold hoop earring is stapled to her left ear, along with two small, silver piercings. They are markings from when she was captured by humans in the Caribbean, and noted as a female wolf that terrorized the locals, and was to be killed on sight. She also has several scars on her muzzle, but they are not distracting from her beautiful face

X.Family Tree.X

Sire: Captain Teague
Dame: Black Sparrow
Brothers: Jack Sparrow
Sisters: Fleur, Anne
Partner: Calico [unofficial ex-mate]
Whelps: None
Challengers: She has made several enemies over the course of her lifetime due to her adventurous behavior and over-the-top pranks. Her ex-mate, Calico, who now heads a band of rogue wolves, may be considered an enemy, as he sees her leaving him as a betrayal. None of her enemies, however, reside in Fire and Ice
Minions: None
Rank: None

X.Background.X
Life Story:
Born of Captain Teague and Black Sparrow's second litter, all that Jackie has known and loved has been near the sea. She exemplified her yearn for adventure by being the first pup out of the den, elated and mystified by the world around her. She followed her older brother, Jack Sparrow, around more than either of her parents, though he was the complete opposite of her. Where he was serious and down to earth, she was wild and up in the clouds. Many times she would wander away from the pack, and Jack was usually the rescuer in times of peril. Though very different, the two were also very close.

When Jack announced he was leaving the pack in search of a mate, Jackie was heartbroken. Though younger than her brother, Jackie announced that she would be leaving as well. She was just over a year old, and thus her parents did not permit her to leave. Jackie, though, full of nerve, snuck away in the middle of the night. She quickly learned the dangers of being a young, lone wolf, but her thirst for adventure only grew. She traveled through the lands tangling with coyotes, tricking foxes, and taunting bears. When she came to the other side of the land and found a new sea, she became akin to a clan of rogue wolves that had similar, thrill-seeking needs.

These sea wolves' adventures consisted of traveling to human naval ports and raising hell. They were ruthless bandits, pirates of pirates, stealing salty meat caches and exotic herbs from the holds of the ships. They battled or recruited the humans' sea dog companions, their clan growing with each raid. Their numbers had never been so high since the reign of Calico, a leader that had boarded a ship and left for new lands.

Enticed by the legend of Calico, Jackie convinced several of her fellow pirates to sneak onto a ship in search of him. She and six others hid inside one headed for the Caribbean, and experienced the tropical world for the very first time. From the streets of Port Royal, to the beaches of Tahiti, and to the shores of Tortuga, Jackie fought with hot-blooded leopards, was caught and escaped human confinement, and even toyed with the minds of brutes. A natural flirt, she was smart to keep a cache of cat's claw near, for she had no intention of settling down just yet. Her companions, also fascinated with the new world, dispersed over time, leaving her to search for Calico on her own.

A small boat brought her to an uninhabited island during her third summer. The crew had stopped to fix a broken mast, and she took it upon herself to explore. It was here that she found Calico; he was an older wolf, but had the spirit of a yearling. Jackie was delighted in his company as he told her tales of his youth, leading the pirate wolves, meeting exotic dames, and traveling all over the world. Calico revealed that he would never return to the pirate clan because he was stranded on paradise, where he could be king. Infatuated with his feats, Jackie coupled with him many times, spending an entire year on Calico Island with him.

But despite their coupling, Jackie was growing bored. She begged Calico to leave the island, but he refused; when the chance came, Jackie boarded a ship that would take her back to her homelands. She wanted to see her family again and tell them her tales. She hadn't forgotten about her Jack Sparrow, either, and hoped that he would be home, too. Little did she know, though, that Calico saw her leaving as an act of betrayal. When she came upon the pirate wolves that she used to run with, Calico was there, took control, and ordered her capture. Knowing that the wolves would tear apart her family, she had no choice but to flee to the hold of a ship on its way to another land.

On its way to the distant land, a catastrophic typhoon struck. The ship was blown to pieces and Jackie barely made it out of the wreck alive; she clung to a piece of wood, floating adrift towards the shores of the Black Pearl, in the lands of Fire and Ice...

X.Background.X

Life Story:

Much has happened to young Echo prior to her birth, but she does not remember. She has hazy memories and frequent nightmares of a woods she has never been to, and visions of wolves she has never met; all they do is cause her confusion, though. To unravel the riddles of her past, she has to go off of what the wolves around her tell her.

She first entered Fire and Ice through Midnight Meadows with Evanescence, who most assumed to be her mother, but this was never confirmed. Though Midnight Meadows was Evon's enemy, they were not going to turn away a newborn whelp, especially when she was in Evon's clutches. They accepted her, but it was clear from the start that Echo would not become like the other pups. They romped and played and chased one another, but she found it better to sit afar and stay quiet. Cinder made it her responsibility to take care of her, but in every attempt, she couldn't help but feel like a failure. Zelda, an old foe of Evon's, treated Echo with nothing but distrust. This only furthered Echo's reclusive behavior. Her distance from everyone, though, didn't keep young Damean Junior away. He was the Prince of Jabbar Junayd, raised by Cinder in Midnight Meadows until his homelands were rescued from the throes of war. Their friendship was strong and fast, almost destined to meet; ebony and ivory. When the wolves of Jabbar came to retrieve Damean, Echo was passed on to Exodus, Damean's elder sister. It was clear to all the wolves that her friendship with Damean is what would make a difference in her future to come.

Echo's entrance into Jabbar Junayd awakened something as well. She recognized that she was different from the rest, but beyond their hearts' alignment; her sixth sense was sharp, almost like that of a seer's, her gaze penetrative of each wolf she encountered... Dead or alive. And Jabbar was full of ghosts. Her packmates noticed her unique gift as well, but did not fear it. Instead, they respected it and her, regardless of her muddled origins.

Another talent emerged as the months passed in Echo's first year. On a pack hunt, her inner hell rose for the first time; an ability that came to be called "The Rage". It consumed her. She became wretched, feral, bloodthirsty. The power was far too much for Echo to control, and when she recovered, she knew that the dog days were over. She would need to either tame the beast within or submit to it. Rawbones, an elder of the pack, took as his responsibility to help her, for it was a condition he had seen before. In addition, to prevent herself from getting into dangerous situations where the Rage would surface, Echo volunteered to be Petra's student in the healing arts.

Little does Echo know, there is still very much in store for her. Her destiny has yet to unfold. With each passing day as she learns and grows, she does not know that Evon's ranks in Lacrimosa swell with strength. Evon has much planned out for young Echo - much more than she could ever imagine.
